SANAS Mass & Temperature Calibration Services
Micron Laboratory Services is SANAS accredited calibration laboratory for mass (1409) and temperature (313).
Our mass pieces come with free calibration.
Mass Calibrations
Before and after calibration readings of accuracy, linearity and corner loads are taken. These readings assist the customer to determine whether the errors before adjustment could have adversely affected measurements made prior to the service.
The unit servicing entails:
- External and internal cleaning
- Linearity and corner load adjustments (if possible)
- Sensitivity (accuracy adjustment)
- Repeatability (standard deviation) measurements
- Laboratory Balance 0 – 30kg
- Industrial Scales 30kg – 600kg
- Moisture Analyser (Mass & Temperature)
Mass Pieces (In-House only):
We supply and calibrate mass pieces from 1mg to 20kg which are calibrated (and adjusted if possible and if required)
Temperature Calibrations
Up to eight strategically placed temperature sensors are used during calibration and measured using data loggers over a period of time to ensure accurate results for the entire area (Mapping).

Calibrations are done, by comparison, using traceable standards and equipment ranging from -80°C to 1500°C
